“ The Thunderdome is very spacious yet still has a cozy look and feel that started in 2018 under
the name Baqara Coliseum. The facility was later rebranded with a new focus after the
pandemic in 2020 to what we now call The Thunderdome. As our family has grown, pivoted,
and modified operations at the Thunderdome, one thing stayed consistent; our passion for
hospitality and our ability to host a perfect event. Along with our sister location in Runnells, which has been in operation since 2015,
Baqara, has hosted more than 350 weddings and large events. The Thunderdome has the
ability to host events well over 500 people but still has a cozy look and feel as soon as you walk
in the door. Our unique status as the only all-inclusive event venue in Central Iowa makes this a
must see space for your special day.”
